A poor girl sells matches in the street but nobody buys from her. She does not dare to go home to her angry father because he will beat her if she comes home without money. An adaptation of H. C. Andersen’s The Little Match Girl by the most recognized independent puppet theater group of Norway. The performance begins with the surprise meeting of the street juggler Erlend and the puppeteer Tessa. After they meet Tessa tells the story and invites the audience into the theatre. They both want to find the girl. But they disagree on how to do it. How will the little girl spend this cold New Year’s Eve? The audience will give the answer to this question.
