Yerevan State Puppet Theater presents Hans Christian Andersen’s Thumbelina as an interactive shadow puppetry. In the performance, numerous different visuals and audial effects generated from two separate projectors fascinate audience. Once upon a time, a childless woman goes to a fairy to have a daughter. The fairy gives her a magical grain of barley. The woman takes the barley and plants it into a flowerpot. Next day, the grain of barley turns into a beautiful flower. When the flower’s leaves open magically, a little girl lies in the flower. She names the little girl Thumbelina. The woman prepares a cradle from leaves and a walnut shell for Thumbelina. Thumbelina sleeps in this cradle at nights. After that? The tale goes on with Thumbelina’s adventures. If you please, we shall learn these exciting adventures in a comfortable chair in the theater!
